I’d rather walk in the valley with Jesus, than on a mountain-top without Him. He gives a song in the night. knitting our hearts together with sweet chords of love. I’d rather walk through valley’s long trial with the Shepherd— … Continue reading

Sweet Escape

August 2 -2013 100_2150

When my heart begins to fret
and my tears I can’t forget,
I run to you…in sweet escape,
and dare to look upon your face.

When my heart begins to trust
I recall I’m made from dust,
lean on you in sweet embrace,
find your mercy, love, and grace.

When my heart begins to sing
and my soul brings offer-ing,
Heaven’s song of sweetest praise,
fills my nights and all my days.

When temptation comes; God will provide the way of escape, so that you
will be able to endure it. (Hebrews 10:13)

Never Will I Leave You

Never will I leave you
I heard my Father say.
Never will I leave you
Never be dismayed.

Never fail to believe
My Word to you is true.
All that I have promised
for you my child I’ll do.

Never doubt my presence
t
o cheer and to guide.
Never fail to believe
the Lord is on your side.

“God has said, ‘I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.’ ” (Hebrews 13:5)

Remember the Moments

Slide28

We embrace not sadness,
nor tears.
Just sweet moments
of heart connects
when time stood still
and faith whispered,
Everything’s going to be all right!

We embrace not
loss of years.
Just sweet memories
tucked in hearts,
when time stood still
and hope whispered,
Everything’s going to be all right!

We walk through storms,
heads held high.
No fear, for God
is by our side.
And time stands still
as love whispers,
Everything’s going to be all right.

Reflections from Romans 8: 28-29; 38-39

In memory of Mother, Daddy, and Davy—
No longer here on earth, but forever in our hearts.

Till The Clouds Roll By

IMG_0752

Oceanside…. Dark clouds hide the sun.
Pounding waves slam against
rocks and boulders.
Rolling breakers hitting shoreline.
Here I am hoping
the sun will break through.
Waiting till the clouds roll by.

So much like my life—This scene
at Oceanside.
Mornings when the sun
refused to shine.
Dark clouds would not go away.
Sometimes by faith alone we are
Waiting till the clouds roll by.

Do I regret darkness that
threatened to overwhelm?
No—Jesus broke through me
with radiant light and life!
He was with me
all the time—
Waiting till the clouds rolled by.
