Who Do You Think You Are?

Ever been asked that question?


Jesus bore up under such questions of scorn and ridicule as He hung upon the Cross over 2000 years ago. The scoffers railed at Him that day. “If you are God, then come down from the Cross”.  Jesus didn’t.

If He had, there would be no Salvation and no Savior. No one to show us how deeply God loved the world and those in it. No one to take our shame and our guilt upon Himself. No one to take our griefs and carry our sorrows. No one to be raised from the dead. No one to give Eternal Life.

This season of Lent, my heart finds rest when I gaze upon this Beautiful One, the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. The Cross answers my questions about who I am and why I am here.
