Covered with Gladness

Released from lingering sadness

Restored by a touch of grace

Rejoicing in Rose of Sharon

Covered by Gladness

It’s in the stillness, we are able to quiet ourselves as a little child and come to Jesus. His arms are open wide. He understands the sadness and lack of peace that robs us of His joy. He wants to graciously touch prodigal hearts bent toward self-destruction. He died to save us from our sins and give us an abundant joy, regardless of our circumstances.

Will you come to Jesus today and let Him cover you with the oil of gladness?

That’s my prayer for you today.

But to all who received him, who believed in his name, he gave power to become children of God; (John 1:12 RSV).

Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” (Matthew 11: 28, 29 NLT)
