Hope That Doesn't Disappoint

The Ragman read by Walter Wangerin…music by Ken Medema

Every time I read or hear this story, the tears flow….Even more this time as I listened to the song written and sung by a blind man, Ken Medema. We knew him years ago when he visited the church my family and I were attending. Back then, Ken wrote and sang a new song…on the spot…just after the sermon was sung. I don’t know when he wrote the song he sings here, but Ken still has the contagious joy and love for the Lord as he did back then. Please take time to listen to both the story and song and make sure you grab a hankie before you listen.

  2. Oh, Glenda I have never heard this story. Wonderful word picture of Christ. We too, remember Ken from the old days. He is still the blessing he always has been. Thank you for this treat and “vision” I will think about for a long time.

    • Kay,
It is a wonderful story and so glad the author shares it so freely! I thought you might also be blessed by Ken and oh yes, it does bring back such sweet memories.
Thanks for stopping by dear friend!
      Hugs to you and Kerm
