Peace Borne out of Conflict

There’s a peace borne out of conflict

Not of sweet repose

The peace our Father sends upon the

One He knows

Breathe upon our hearts

Sweet Holy Peace of God

Release the fragrance of the Rose

Upon the path we trod

Pour forth Your Holy Spirit

The fruit of peace divine

The peace borne out of conflict

Upon this heart of Thine

In times of stormy conflict

Through restless nights and days

Blow gently upon this rose

The sacrifice of praise

Relections from Matthew 8: 23-27, Lamentations 3: 22-26

Conflict – - then PEACE! Great; thanks Sweetie

  2. Thank you for a lovely start to Monday. Instead of looking ahead and planning, planning, stressing, and figuring, this is a reminder to find Peace in my now.

    • Becky,
I can relate…I want my life to planned ahead…and I have to remind myself it already has been…by the Sovereign Lord!! Like you, I find peace in the now when I totally surrender my days and weeks and moments to the Lord. Only then does His peace come!

  3. Beautiful, Glenda. A friend once told me that “intimacy born of conflict is STILL intimacy.” Same goes for peace. Thanks for sharing :)

    • Susan,
Well said! Reminds me God often uses conflict in our lives to develop greater intimacy and peace with God and with others. Thanks for stopping by Susan. Have a blessed day!

  4. Mary

    Love this, Glenda!!!

  5. Peace, that elusive commodity our world so needs… Nice.

    • Melody,
elusive commodity our world needs…you said it right. So grateful for the Prince of Peace who draws near when we cry out to Him. Thanks for stopping by!

  6. This is beautiful, Glenda. Love the paradox–God’s kingdom is full of them!

  7. Glenda,
The thing about you, that I love the most, is the fact that you allow God to use you even when you do not realize it. You have been and continue to be such a great blessing in my life. So thank you for being you and allow God to speak through you. You hold a special place in my heart.

    • Sharon,
Thank you for stopping by with your gracious words. I feel the same way about you my Alabama heart friend!
      Hugs to you!
